Cleaning up and packing - preparing for a big move - came across this little girl. I cannot wait until I finally have an actual art room and not just an art corner.
This Bracelet is so lovely it hurts - If only I could spend $110.00 on such things without feeling guilty.
I am a big fan of "happy accidents" but this purple blob was not happy :( - not happy at all. This one is scrapped.
I didnt know what an ACEO was until this morning - I always saw the letters but never really knew what it meant. It was fun working so small - and although I am not totally satisfied with this one I think its going to get me at my art desk more often.
I am so in love with these earrings I got for christmas (shown here covered in sweater fuzzies)
They are by an artist duo that goes by the name Holly Yashi. They are like wearing little pieces of art on my ears.
I am driving myself crazy lately trying to be creative and I just cant do it - its like I have art constipation - blah :p
If i was able to draw little people with another emotion other then "pensive" - I think would draw all the time.
This has been quite a year – quite a month and quite a week. Sunday I dialed 911 for the first time in my life. I thought I was having a heart attack – in the end it turned out to be a gallbladder attack but the whole ordeal was very surreal and scary.
I was wrapping presents and all the sudden my chest and back felt like it was being crushed, my face turned white and I started dripping sweat.
I sat a waited a while trying to take deep breaths to make sure I was not panicking and when I could not take the pain anymore I called my boyfriend to come home and called my mom to let her know what was going on and that I would be ok – opened the front door and the garage – called 911 and lied on the ground. Its so ridiculous the things you think of when you are sure you are going to die. I remember wondering what underwear I was wearing because I was sure people would see it…..
So Thursday I meet with a surgeon and sometime in January they are going to yank my gall bladder out. I should be eternally grateful that it was my gall bladder and not my heart – I imagine if I had not lost 80 pounds this year it might have been my heart instead.
Has anyone ever had a gallbladder attack? Or had their gallbladder removed?
Sometimes when I am feeling a little down I look up cute animals on the internet - cheers me right up.

Tiny wood panel 1inch by 2inch.
I am a little rusty for sure, girls.
Its been a long long time since I have been on here. I am so sorry to all the people I have lost touch with.
I would rather not get into explanations about why I have been gone - I am just glad to be back. I hope all of you are well.
By the way can anyone suggest a good GREEN TEA - I am trying out different kinds.

I used some of my newly marbled paper to make a cute little book - below the cut is the cover and 2 of the 4 pages - It was a lovey way to spend the day with the house all to myself.
Oh! Please share any links you have to buy cool rubberstamps or collage type stuff! Thank you!

Some new marbled papers - the colors are really mushy - I think my marbling size got spoiled :(
Hopefully better luck tomorrow.

Something thats been hanging around on my shelf forever - a smaller book with a cut out ( i love cut outs) and a shell from my San Diego days. I love the sand and taupe colors with a little bold black.

some pages in an altered book that have been inspired by my recent collab book- something about it comes off a little technical - i think its the placement and shape of the images - I think i like it

I have been working on this collabertive book with some arty gals, including
This has been such a huge challange for me because my collage style is really based on my emotions and whims and has always been balanced by a range of colors and random moves. I haven't made art with rules (this is a "true colors" collab and my colors are Red and Green/blue/turquoise) since highschool. Not to say I have not enjoyed this - because I really really have and look forward to getting the other girls books to work on - I think I am just nervous about how my art will translate compared to these artistas stunning work.
This is one spread out of a total of 4 pages I did in this book - I think with pages I completed so far - it makes me think of a travel scrapbook - something I lugged with me overseas - filling it with ideas and day dreams of foreign languages and images.
If you want to be surprised TCJOURNAL girls - dont look at the following link

Yesterday was a bloody mess with the marbling - I think the 'size' got to cold and I treated the paper with too much alum -
out of about 18 these are the only ones that made it out alive.

Trying some new marbling - Italian style. Its a very fussy and messy process but I have fallen madly in love.
I did get a little over zealous with the colors - I need to limit to just a 2-3 - Hopefully I will get better and it will get easier soon.

The resin is style drying - I love these - I really love the way the colors turned out. It was a really satisfying saturday afternoon project, I was able to release images out of my head to make room for some new ones. I will post close ups tomorrow.
I wanted to apologize to anyone who was bidding on my mini collages from the post before this one; Ebay removed them because I had a link to my website on the description which I didnt know I could not do. I have since re-listed them and you can find them 'HERE'
Sorry for any confusion.
Hope everyone has a lovely easter egg morning!
I have some new collages available.
I have been really diving into silkscreening and more tradional paper marbling - hopefully I will have some to share soon.

I have some more marbled paper on ebay for auction..
I also have been working on some mini collage pieces.
They are about 1.5x2 and are captured on a small wood panel with a thick coat of resin giving them a lot of depth.
They do not photograph well at all but are really quite lovely I think.
I have spend alot of time and have made 10 of my 'bird series' - some larger then these....my first two are on ebay as well

I am trying to save up to pay my printing fee for some new artwork of mine - So I have some little handmade book auctions availble here:---------->
These books are about 2.5x3 and have pages inside that were ripped out of an antique book and handmarbled and also non-marbled pages.
I will have some more availble quite soon if anyone is interested.

I am a little bit of a wall flower at work and don't really have the social circle I used to have when I was younger and working in art and book stores....so this St. Valentines day I thought I would suprise everyone and bust out some goodie bags. The theme is chocolate and words for the heart - so I enclosed little quotes from Dalai Lama, Oprah and Eleanor Roosevelt mixed with Dove chocolates and other candy. I am so nervous and I know its silly but I hope they like the baggies.

I tried my hand at bookbinding today and I am not sure if this is an art form I should pursue.
I love what bookbinding is - and how beautiful it can be but I think it requires more perfection then my hands can muster....
